Most of the fans who travel in high-end audio for the first time is surprised by this kind of real money "luxury" boat can cost. It is strange to see why – some isolated specimens easily can ask 4 and often 5 numbers for what is essentially a two-run wire. Even the connectors for some these cables can be hundreds of dollars each. One must wonder, these prices are justified? Furthermore, it is possible to achieve the same levels of performance if only 're an ordinary man with a modest income, with a genuine love of music rather than a lack of investment super expensive equipment?
The answer to the above, is answered "yes".
As with many designs to hi-fi, cars or even wine, once the approach of the upper pyramid, the performance per dollar declines dramatically. To say that you have to spend several times more money than a small improvement. But most of us do not realize how easy it is to get some of these small improvements through smart shopping.
First, start with some facts. President Cable technology has been no significant improvement since the dawn of the electronic age. There has been no breakthrough in the design or materials to make an impact in performance. This does not mean that all speaker cables are the same. Some are significantly better than others. However, many cable companies have been so involved in the marketing of fantasy that have lost the most important aspects of cable performance. This involves using the best of what they already know and use this knowledge for their products – use good materials.
Let's face it, design, twisted pair cable and speaker cable makes any communication, is unsurpassed for quality and noise rejection for the MS and RF induced noise. This pair is why all computers use twisted cables. It's simple, cheap and very effective. What remains is therefore the fundamental building blocks of a cable – its materials. Only use materials of good will to alleviate the problems associated with most influential aspects of the operation of a cable – their electrical properties.
What are the best materials to use for the speaker cable? There is two solutions of great value. Pure silver and Teflon for those whose budget is relatively high, or silver and the EP under budget constraints.
Let's start with the money. Money is an electrical conductor than copper. Most people do not realize this simple fact. Higher conductivity leads not only to reduce resistance but the response of increased frequency, reduced loss and improved noise. Unfortunately, money is a very expensive compared to the copper, which leads me to the point of dishonest manufacturers. Several companies are also concerned about the impact on profit margins (if they were going to spend the money) have become widespread myths about money that sounds brilliant. But something tells me this is not the truth, given the number of truly high-end cables leading money anyway. The cables would be best from a solid silver core, but very close (and much cheaper) a compromise solution would be to use the silver on copper.
The next thing to consider is the dielectric (or insulation) around the conductor. The dielectric has a direct impact on the physics of electrons travel through a cable. Increased stiffness dielectric is good for improving the qualities of the orchestra. The best and most convenient is probably Teflon dielectric. However, for those of us with a budget, the EP is the second. Vinyl, however, is used in cable sheathing, cheaper and is not recommended.
Combining these two factors and has a really great value cable with excellent sound and response. The money is really great for extending the frequency range and clarity. And if you look, You can buy these cables in place on the Internet for less than $ 15-20 per meter.
You can find great speaker cables, including silver speaker cables at super low prices at http://www.chromeaudio.com.au.
